Grand Launching of the VITRO Santa Rosa VSR Data Center 2025
Santa Rosa City, Laguna
April 23, 2025
Marking the inauguration of the country’s first artificial intelligence (AI)-ready data center and the largest hyperscale facility in the Philippines, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. graces the grand launching of the VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) Data Center at Barangay Pulong Santa Cruz in Santa Rosa City, Laguna on 23 April 2025.
Developed by VITRO Inc., a subsidiary of ePLDT under the PLDT Group, the VSR facility marks a major leap in digital infrastructure. It is built to support advanced computing needs such as cloud services, high-performance enterprise systems and AI-driven technologies. With an initial IT capacity of 50 megawatts and over 13,000 square meters of white space, the data center places the Philippines at the forefront of digital innovation in the Asia-Pacific region.
Powered by NVIDIA GPU servers, the facility enables AI adoption at scale. It allows businesses to harness real-time data analytics, automation and next-generation digital tools. It also promotes sustainability by sourcing 35 percent of its power from renewable energy and using energy-efficient cooling and backup systems.
The VSR site connects with key VITRO hubs in Makati City, Parañaque City and Pasig City through the VITRO Data Center Interconnect (DCI) for seamless network reliability and scalability.
The launch advances the ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ vision by promoting a smarter and more connected society and by reinforcing the country’s role as a growing digital hub in the region.

PLDT completes VITRO data center structure
The structural completion of VITRO Sta. Rosa will pave the way for power integration and energization, ePLDT said.
“With its structural completion, VITRO Sta. Rosa is completing another cornerstone in its development as it energizes the facility soon to welcome telcos, enterprises, and hyperscalers,” it added.
VITRO Sta. Rosa is said to be the country’s largest data center campus in the country, sitting on a five-hectare lot in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. According to its website, Vitro Sta. Rosa will have an initial capacity of 14 MW this year, which can be expanded to 50 MW once fully operational.
The Laguna data center is ePLDT’s 11thdata center.
VITRO Sta. Rosa is designed to use less energy while also using the latest innovation in cooling and power redundancy — the highest network level with at least three fiber routes from PLDT and other telecommunication providers.
Earlier this year, PLDT said it was planning to scale up the capacity of its data centers.
The company said that its planned 12thdata center may double the capacity of VITRO Sta. Rosa, while it is still in the site selection process for its 13thand 14thdata centers.
